Three product families, from ultra-high purity to standard grades

Ultra-high purity

Sodium below 3 ppm

Made by the Stöber process from purified silicate esters, giving monodisperse particles with heavy metals below ICP-MS detection limits. For precision polishing, anti-reflective coatings, electronic materials and high-end catalysts. Supplied by project, in limited volumes.

High purity

Ion exchange with added purification

Potassium-stabilized grades at about 40% solids, made from high-purity raw materials with an added purification step. Total trace metals below 100 ppm, excluding Na and K. For precision polishing, metallographic final polishing and optical coatings.

Standard

Six types

Sodium, ammonium, acidic, neutral, alumina-modified and silane-modified, from 4 to 110 nm. For catalyst binders, coatings, refractories, paper and printing.

Custom grades

Tell us your spec. We make the grade.

Most customers start by sending the grade they use today. We match it, or adjust particle size, solids, pH, stabilizer and impurity limits to fit your process. Tell us if your spec is based on BET or titration size, as these read smaller than DLS.

  • Particle size 4–150 nm
  • SiO₂ up to 40%
  • pH 2–11
  • Na, K, NH₄, acidic or neutral
  • Silane or alumina modification
  • Impurity limits

Get a technical proposal

We confirm whether an existing grade fits or a tailored grade is needed, with a sample date.

Test a free sample

Each sample ships with a COA. Particle size distribution report and SEM images on request.

Fine-tune and lock

We adjust from your test results, then fix the grade in a written specification for every batch.

Quality

Every batch is measured, documented and retained

  • COAIssued for every batch against the agreed specification.
  • Trace metalsICP-MS or ICP-OES for Na, K, Fe, Al, Ca and other elements: on request, and whenever raw materials or the process change.
  • Particle sizeAverage size by dynamic light scattering for every batch; size distribution report on request.
  • Retained samplesKept for every batch so any question can be traced.
  • Change controlWritten notice before any change in raw materials or process.

Storage

Keep from freezing

Store between 5 and 35 °C. Frozen colloidal silica gels irreversibly, so we plan winter shipments to avoid low temperatures.

Documents

Technical documents we provide

  • COA with every shipment
  • TDS and SDS (GHS format) for every grade
  • Third-party test reports, such as SGS, on request
